TRIATHLON POWER FOR DAME HANNAH'S
The Plymouth Triathlon Club raised over £400 for the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust recently. At their 5th annual standard distance triathlon on Sunday 11th July over 150 Triathletes converged on the Mountbatten Centre in
The Plymouth Triathlon is famed as one of the toughest standard distance triathlons in the country and attracted competitors ranging from 18 years old to over 60 with abilities from seasoned Ironmen to first time triathletes. The first man home was Nick Clements in 2 hrs 17 mins with Helen Dyke winning the ladies race for the 2nd year running in a time of 2 hrs 37 mins. There was also a junior Aquathon which is growing in support and had over 20 under 16's swimming and running alongside the main race.
Dame Hannah's fundraiser Paul Courtney said "We are really grateful to the Plymouth Triathlon Club for choosing to raise money for their local charity. Each of the competitors can relax now, safe in the knowledge that long after their aches and pains die down, their endeavours will continue to transform the lives of the young people here at Dame Hannah's".
