MUSICAL EVENING AT SEALE-HAYNE

Come to an enchanting evening of classical music at Hannahs at Seale-Hayne. The award winning Newton Abbot Orchestra will be giving a concert in the stunning Great Hall on Thursday 22nd July at 7.30pm.

The orchestra has been in existence for at least 30 years and the membership has steadily grown to over 40 musicians.  At the Seale-Hayne concert they will be conducted by Robert Young, who has been musical director for productions at the Princess Theatre and Little Theatre in Torquay, the Palace Theatre, Paignton, the Northcott Theatre,

Solo violinist Josh Dalton will be performing on his Dorazee violin dating back to 1765. Josh started to play the violin shortly before his seventh birthday and went on to become a member of the National Children's Orchestra at the age of ten. At 15 he fulfilled his ambition to go to a specialist music school by being awarded a scholarship to the Purcell School where he now studies with Head of Strings, Charles Stewart. Throughout his childhood summers Josh spent the holidays visiting his grandparents in Devon so is delighted to be beginning his concerto career in a place of such happy memories.
