AN INVITATION TO WATCH HANNAHS AT SEALE-HAYNE GROW

May Day Bank Holiday (3rd May 2010) will see Dame Hannah`s flinging open the gates of its new premises at Seale-Hayne with an invitation to members of the public to come and share in the transformation of its fantastic buildings and their surroundings.

The charity, which provides nationally acclaimed education and care for young people with disabilities, is keen to give everyone an opportunity to be involved with their exciting plans and hopes many people will visit on May Day and throughout the summer months to enjoy all Seale Hayne has to offer.

Dame Hannah`s chief executive Bronwen Hewitt said "Everyone is welcome! We have been working very hard to develop many new and exciting services for people with disabilities and there is still much to do - but we felt now was a great time to open up the doors and really encourage the community to be involved in our plans".

On 3rd May from 10am until 4pm, the cafĂ©, shop, artist workshops and gallery will all be open to provide a flavour of things to come. There will also be an opportunity to meet the new Dame Hannah`s donkeys and Indian running ducks whilst enjoying a stroll in the beautiful grounds. After 3rd May all of these facilities will continue to be open to the public from 10am - 6pm daily (except Fridays).

Mrs Hewitt continued "We are busy creating a unique community for young people with physical disabilities and for young people with learning disabilities with an exciting range of activities. The first groups are arriving in the summer to enjoy all we have to offer them. Also the summer will see us developing our agriculture and horticulture projects and there will be a variety of fun events with more opportunities for everyone to get involved."
