Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary Club swims for Dame Hannah's

Members of the Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary Club have raised an impressive £2,500 for the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust by organising a swim marathon. Over 60 teams of eight took part and the majority of swimmers were children.

Each team swam for an hour and managed to swim anything from 100 to 200 lengths of the Kingsbridge swimming pool in that time. The teams came from local schools, swim clubs and brownies with some older swimmers coming from the Rotary Club and local businesses.

Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary Club President Brian Sheppard said "We all know Dame Hannah's and are delighted to have raised £2,500 to help the Trust move on. Having visited Dame Hannahs before the event I found it totally inspirational to see the Trust at work".

Phil Lloyd of Dame Hannah's said "We are very grateful to the members of the Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary Club for all their support and generosity. We are also delighted that local organisations recognise the importance of supporting their local charity".
