LOCAL CHARITY AIMS TO RAISE £20,000 AT FESTIVE FAYRE
Festive shoppers are being invited to help support their local charity at the Dame Hannah’s Christmas Fayre later this month (Thursday 19 November 2009). Now in its 14th year the event is set to raise more than £20,000 for the vital work of Dame Hannah`s.
Held in the beautiful grounds of Kitley House Hotel in Yealmpton, the Fayre offers visitors a variety of Christmas gift ideas and locally produced food and drink. Stallholders from across the
Based in Ivybridge, Dame Hannah`s provides education, therapy and care for young people with physical disabilities, associated learning and communication difficulties and complex medical needs.
Paul Courtney, a member of the Supporter Relations team at the Trust, said, "Last year`s event was our biggest ever raising over £19,500. This year we know we can break through that £20,000 barrier and help to transform some very special young lives here in the West Country. Our Christmas Fayre just keeps on growing and is such a special date in our fundraising calendar - we hope that many more people will join us this year to do some Christmas shopping and support their local charity at the same time."
The Christmas Fayre is open from 10am until 4pm on Thursday 19 November 2009.
