BRIDGE CLUB MEMBERS PLAY THEIR CARDS RIGHT FOR DAME HANNAH'S

Newton Abbot Bridge Club members took to the card tables recently in aid of the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust. Twenty teams took part in a Charity Swiss Teams Event at Newton Abbot Race Course and raised over £1,200.

The event organisers Val Frost, former chairman of the Bridge Club, current chairman Fran Fitzgerald and treasurer Jane Ridgewell visited Dame Hannah’s to meet the young people and present a cheque. This is the fourth year that the Newton Abbot Bridge Club has held an event in aid of Dame Hannah`s.

Dame Hannah`s provides education, therapy and care for children, young people and young adults with physical disabilities, associated learning and communication difficulties and complex medical needs. Phil Lloyd, head of supporter relations at Dame Hannah’s said, "We are really grateful to the Newton Abbot Bridge Club members for their ongoing support. It is really important to us that local organizations continue to remember local charities like Dame Hannah`s".
