A good bit of healthy competition
Fun Fun Fun
With a fun packed school day along with the waking hours curriculum there is never a shortage of exciting and interesting things for our young people to do. With the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust`s ideal location on the edge of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park.
The Dame Hannah Rogers Trust team is continually seeking to develop and create an imaginative range of activities to provide a stimulating social environment. Activities include curling, 10 pin bowling, basketball, swimming, tennis, boccia, cinema, discos, barbecues, picnics, speedway and even ice staking! Through new experiences and having fun students can reach new heights of achievement, develop social skills and build confidence.
Pupils are also encouraged to participate in outward bound and sports activities, such as the Jubilee Challenge, part of Dartmoor`s famous endurance challenge the Ten Tors, and the outdoor adventure competition the Kielder Challenge. These activities help to stretch and challenge students to gain new personal accomplishments.
Visits to museums, the National Marine Aquarium, the Zoo, the Eden Project and exchange visits to Germany and France are just some of the outings arranged throughout the year.
Like all young people, students also enjoy nights in playing games, listening to music, watching DVDs or television or just chatting with friends.
